VSoTr (Verordnung über Sorgfaltspflichten und Transparenz bezüglich Mineralien und Metallen aus Konfliktgebieten und Kinderarbeit = Swiss Ordinance on Due Diligence and Transparency):

Loi de Vigilance (France's Corporate Duty of Vigilance law):
The law requires large companies in France to effectively manage their human rights and environmental risks – both within the company itself, but also its subsidiaries, subcontractors and suppliers.

CSDDD (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive):
This legislation is a EU law that requires large companies to conduct due diligence on human rights and environmental impacts within their operations and value chains. It aims to ensure companies identify, prevent, mitigate, and address adverse impacts on human rights and the environment.

Note: The CSDDD is currently under review by the Omnibus Proposal of the European Union. The legal opinion refers to the original version as of December 2024 that is currently still in effect.

EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation):
It's a law that requires companies placing certain commodities (like coffee, cocoa, soy, palm oil, and wood) on the EU market to ensure their products are not linked to deforestation and are legally produced. The EUDR aims to reduce the EU’s contribution to global deforestation and promote more sustainable supply chains.
