What is the Supplier eTraining?

This training gives an overview of the German Supply Chain Act, focusing mainly on the 14 human rights and environmental risks covered. This training has been designed for suppliers affected directly or indirectly by the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG).

Overview on the Curriculum

The training takes up to 30 minutes to complete and covers the following:

  • The analogy of a forester and a walk through the woods

  • Mia and Karim in conversation, our protagonists from the last eLearnings

  • The 14 human rights and environmental risks associated with the LkSG, including interactive elements giving the user crucial information on each risk

  • The basics of the Minamata, Stockholm and Basel conventions

  • Overview of the due diligence obligations, the risk analysis

  • Contractual assurance and the supplier’s role in a company’s compliance to the LkSG

  • Substantiated knowledge

  • Examples of remedial and preventive measures

The course has regular interactive elements, videos, questions to the user and ends with a quiz. The quiz is scored and the user needs 65% questions correct to be successful. The user has as many attempts as he/she/they need to complete the quiz.

The enrolment is done on the Prewave platform, where the lead contact at that Site will need to create an account to provide a list of students to train. Those students will complete the training in the Prewave Academy at learning.prewave.com

The Onboarding Process

Once credits have been bought for the Supplier eTraining, we will assign them to your Prewave account. This means you can then send the Enrolment Form to each supplier, who will nominate up to 10 "students" from their Site to complete the training.

The process works as follows:

  • Suppliers selected for the eTraining need to have a connection contact, which is the main contact for that site

  • An Action should be created at the supplier Site called “Prewave LkSG Supplier eTraining”

  • The Action will then need to be scheduled and sent to the contact at that Site

  • The supplier will receive an email asking them to fill out the “Supplier eTraining Enrolment Template” - this provides us with First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Language, Company Name of all the >10 users at that Site (this is essentially to get a list of students to enrol)

  • Once we have that information, we enrol those students into the Prewave Academy (learning.prewave.com) and the students at the supplier site will receive login information

  • Once a Site (ie all users) has completed the training, they all receive a certificate via the Prewave Academy and Supplier Success mark the Action as complete for that customer

  • You will be notified when the Site has completed the training. If after a given timeframe there has not been full participation, we will follow up with the lead contact at that Site to push participation.

Results and Scoring

Each supplier Site enrolled in the training will receive a Certificate upon completion, which will show in the Certificates tab of that Site profile in Prewave

Completed eTrainings will be scored, with the scoring showing as an entry called LkSG Supplier eTraining under the Assessment Score area on the 360 scorecard of that supplier Site
